Our clinic offers comprehensive eye examinations and diagnostic testing with equipment comparable to what you’d find in a much larger urban centre – there’s no need to travel to Barrie or the GTA!
Our Optometrists are experienced and understand the importance of providing every individual a unique eye care experience. This is especially true when looking at preventative eye care, which we believe to be the best way to ensure long-lasting eye health.
It all starts with a thorough eye exam. The Canadian Association of Optometrists recommends that children under age 20 and seniors of 65 and over get annual eye exams. A healthy adult should get an eye exam every 1 or 2 years, or sooner if a change in vision occurs.

Dr. Anna Dionisio
Dr. Anna Dionisio graduated with Honours from the University of Waterloo in 2009 where she obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree. She grew up in Owen Sound and always knew she wanted to live close to Georgian Bay. In 2010 she and her husband Darrell moved to Wasaga Beach where Dr. Dionisio became the full-time Eye care Professional at the Georgian Bay Optometry Clinic (GBOC).

Dr. Peter Germain was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario. He graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science in 2023 with Dean’s Honours after completing externships in Kitchener and Fort Frances, Ontario. Along the way, Dr. Germain had the opportunity to participate in two eye care mission trips to Peru, where he hopes to continue to provide eye care to underserved communities on short term mission trips in the future.
